Commission Terms & Conditions
After an agreement of a written quote has been reached, Francesca Apicella requires a contract to be signed by both parties prior to the commencement of any work.
A 30% deposit of the agreed total cost is required to start the commission. This deposit is non-refundable. Payment secures client's position within the artist's waiting list.
Francesca Apicella agrees to complete the commission within reasonable time, and a rough timescale will be agreed upon in advance. Timescales will vary depending on the size and complexity of the commission.
The commission remains the property of the artist until the full amount has been paid by the client, and then will become the property of the client. The rights to reproduce the works remain with the artist.
After the commission becomes property of the client, the client agrees that the artist no longer has any responsibily to alter, protect or insure the commission.
If the commission is painted in oil, the client agrees that the final piece will be supplied touch dry and unvarnished. The client agrees to have all responsibility to protect the artwork during the 6 month full drying period. If the client would like the piece varnished, Francesca Apicella agrees to apply a final varnish to the piece free of charge after the full 6 month period. Any alterations or changes to the artwork are not included.
The client agrees will be an interpretation of the subject by the artist and should be familiar with the artist's work.
